TENANT RENTAL INFORMATION

Age requirement: If you are under 18 we regret that we cannot help you unless you have a guarantor.

Bond: Equivalent to 4 weeks rental.

Required for signup: 2 weeks rent in advance must be paid for you to pickup your keys. You are also required to have a cheque or money order for the full amount of your bond made out to the RTBA.

Rental payments: Rent is due on the same day every week (unless otherwise stated in your tenancy agreement). All new tenants will be asked to pay their rent via direct deposit or centrelink deductions, as there are security issues with staff and tenants handling large amounts of cash. Details will be provided at signup.

Utilities: Please remember to organise connection of all utilities such as electricity, gas and water, we are happy to supply forms for this. Please include utility costs in your budget.

Breaking your lease: We understand unforseen circumstances may necessitate you break your lease. If this occurs, you are required to continue paying rent until the end of the lease or until the property is re-let. There will be a letting fee and advertising costs as well.

End of lease: It is a requirement that you notify us 28 days before you plan to vacate the property, or if you wish to renew your lease.

Pet policy: Permission to keep pets at your rental property must be granted by your landlord and authorised with a pet policy form to be signed by tenant and landlord BEFORE pets are kept at the property. Some properties will be strictly no pets so please enquire before you sign a lease.

Smoking policy: All our rental properties are strictly NO SMOKING inside.
