INTERNET IS THE CLEAR WINNER IN REAL ESTATE MARKETING

Mr Barrett said many clients begged for their property to be advertised in local newspapers, but realistically the cost outweighed the small audience engaged.

He said with social media websites, blogging, and hugely popular real estate websites, the advantage of advertising in print were small.

“By the time our properties are printed in social media, it’s old news.” Barrett said.

“People don’t buy newspapers to find their new home, they log onto the website. Our homes are uploaded onto our webpage the day they are listed in addition to the other real estate websites we subscribe to.”
